I started my venture into computer graphics and virtual worlds in my early years in high school.
I began learning to create environments, worlds and logics in games and software such as SourceSDK, Minecraft and animating characters in SourceFilmMaker. I was later introduced to Blender, a powerful 3D software that enabled me to create my first 3D renders. I was hooked right away and knew this was the exact industry I wanted to work in, I was implementing computer graphics wherever I could, creating small projects and high school presentations. But the core of my fascination with CG comes from the ability to create anything out of nothing, simulate the properties of reality and push tools beyond their limit!
Few months after graduating I was enrolled in the "Think Tank 12 Month, Full Time Diploma Program". I got to learn and master the fundamentals of a few of the main domains in the industry such as modeling, lighting, texturing and animation. I then began my mentorship along side Guiseppe Improta, a veteran lighting artist from Italy, now CG supervisor at Bardel Entertainment. Over the course of a few months he taught me some of his in depth knowledge on CG lighting, color space and exposure. He mentored me through out the conception and execution of my demo reel project: the Bahia Palace.
Further into my mentorship I lead a workshop on render optimization, and was approached by an independent production team of ILM and Double Negative employees, to light several shots for "The Seahorse Trainer", an award winning short film at the 2019 Seattle International Film Festival and 2019 FilmQuest.
